The Zonta Club of New Orleans, Louisiana was established in 1959.

   

The club is a part of Zonta's District 10 which includes the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas and New Mexico.

   

The Zonta Club of New Orleans is a member club of Zonta International, an worldwide executive service organization dedicated to improving the status of women. 

   

Internationally the organization works to advance the status of women by annual contributions to Zonta International's Amelia Earhart Fellowships and the Zonta International Strategies to Eradication Violence Against Women (ZISVAW)

Locally, the Zonta Club of New Orleans sponsors scholarships for women who want to further their education.

   

The Club also provides on-going support to Grace House and the Metropolitan Battered Women's Program.

   

Club members also are involved in numerous volunteer programs such as Each One Save One, Reach Out and Read, and STAIR.
