Club of New Orleans, Louisiana was established in 1959. |

club is a part of Zonta's District 10 which includes the
states of Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas and New
Mexico. |

The
Zonta Club of New Orleans is a member club of Zonta
International, an worldwide executive service
organization dedicated to improving the status of
women. |
| |
|
|
|
Internationally the organization works to advance the
status of women by annual contributions to Zonta
International's Amelia Earhart Fellowships and the Zonta
International Strategies to Eradication Violence Against
Women (ZISVAW) |

Locally, the Zonta Club of New Orleans sponsors
scholarships for women who want to further their
education. |

The
Club also provides on-going support to Grace House and
the Metropolitan Battered Women's Program. |

members also are involved in numerous volunteer programs
such as Each One Save One, Reach Out and Read, and
STAIR. |
